Let There Be Light

Conversation Prompts

What was it like before God created the universe?

Did you know that God is three persons in one? God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. There were all part of creation from the very beginning.

Who do you think the verse John 1:1-3 is talking about?

In the book, can you see Jesus or God’s hands as part of creation?

What was the first thing God said when He created the universe?

Which animal is your favourite?

Which flower or plant is your favourite?

Who is God’s best creation?

  • Cut out star shapes from cardboard and decorate with glitter or cover in aluminium foil. Use a hole punch to add a hole at the top of the star and thread some ribbon or string so you can hang up your stars.

  • Use round cookies and make bright yellow icing to spread on top. Next, add some orange sprinkles around the edges.

  • Choose some seeds to plant, e.g. sunflowers, alf alfa, veggie or grass seeds. Place some soil in a pot and poke a small hole in the middle. Plant the seeds in the hole, then cover with soil and water. Follow the instructions with the seed packet and check up on your plant each day. Soon you’ll see it grow!
